When the 3 kW is the right choice

When the 5 kW is worth it
A 5 kW system is where daytime air conditioning becomes comfortable. One inverter AC plus fans, fridge and lights fits inside it without living on the edge of the inverter. If a second AC is likely within two years, price 5 kW now rather than paying twice for installation.
The mistake at this size: buying for the bill, forgetting the load
Small systems fail on load, not on units. A 3 kW inverter can cover a month of units and still trip the moment a 1.5-ton AC compressor starts alongside a water pump. Add up what runs at the same time — that number decides the inverter, and the inverter often decides the system.
